1. Motion Mode
Linear bearings are components that support and guide mechanical devices during linear motion. The bearing sleeve in a linear bearing mates with a cylindrical body, allowing axial movement. Sliding bearings, on the other hand, provide support and sliding functions during rotational motion. During operation, the shaft and bearing work together via a lubricating oil film.

2. Applications
Linear bearings are suitable for equipment requiring linear guidance, such as linear machine tools, linear guides, and automated robots. Sliding bearings, on the other hand, are more commonly used in equipment subject to heavy loads and low-speed rotation, such as machine tool spindle supports and generator set bearings.

3. Loading Mode
Linear bearings are typically used for unidirectional loads. Because they cannot withstand lateral forces and torque, they must be used in combination with sliding bearings or angular contact ball bearings. Sliding bearings can withstand lateral forces and torque, but their load capacity is lower and they are typically used in low-load, low-speed rotating equipment.

4. Structure and Materials
Linear bearings typically utilize a ball or needle roller structure and are suitable for high-load and high-speed equipment. Sliding bearings use lubricating materials, which can effectively reduce friction and wear, and improve working efficiency and life.
